Long-A-Coming Depot

July 07, 2017

Long-A-Coming is the oldest surviving train station in New Jersey. Apparently it contains a museum, but it was not open when we visited and there were no signs about it. The building looks well preserved and can be viewed quickly on your way elsewhere.

Ford Mansion

June 25, 2017

The Ford Mansion was General Washington's headquarters while the Continental army was encamped here from December 1779 to June 1780. The park consists of the mansion itself and a small museum behind it. Other areas, related to the encampment, are located nearby. Overall, the Ford Mansion is nicely done and interesting.

Imlaydale Historic District

The Imlaydale Historic District in Washington Township (Warren County) is a small collection of buildings that grew up around a water power site - the Musconetcong River. Imlaydale possesses significance in the areas of community development, architecture, industry, politics/government and transportation. This is a short, pleasant walk with a handful of buildings to see. It's flat, through a very residential area.
