Washington's Headquarters Museum commemorates General Washington's headquarters while the Continental army was encamped here from December 1779 to June 1780. The park consists of the museum and the Ford Mansion in front of it. Other areas, related to the encampment, are located nearby. While on the small side, the museum is nicely done and interesting.

The Imlaydale Historic District in Washington Township (Warren County) is a small collection of buildings that grew up around a water power site - the Musconetcong River. Imlaydale possesses significance in the areas of community development, architecture, industry, politics/government and transportation. This is a short, pleasant walk with a handful of buildings to see. It's flat, through a very residential area.

The Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center offers a range of fun trips out into the ocean to observe whales, dolphins and sea birds. The boat is modern and comfortable and the water is usually calm. The staff is friendly and informative. While you're not guaranteed to spot whales, they do offer a free trip if you don't at least spot dolphins (at Cape May, it's common to even see dolphins from the beach).

The mission of this National Historic Site is to preserve the experience of the steam engine era. It offers both indoor and outdoor exhibits, with many hands-on opportunities. There are train rides available, as well as guided tours and demonstrations. The ranger staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. This is a great place to become acquainted with the steam era.
